We’re sure that more information will always be coming out, companies change and adjust to the needs of consumers and science is ever evolving, but we can only act on what we know. Newsworthy Stories and Research in Women Health

Asbestos in Makeup - Asbestos.com recently conducted a study to examine primarily children’s make up and test it for talc and asbestos. A surprising number of products came back positive for these chemicals. They have created a great resource to know which products are safe and which to avoid for you and your daughters, nieces and sisters.

BPA in Athletic clothing - Bisphenol A or BPA is a product we’ve known to be on the lookout for in products for several years ago. A lot of us have switched to glass tupperware and reusable aluminum water bottles in order to avoid exposure to this. However, new research suggests it might present in our sports clothes as well which we not only wear close to our major hormonal centers like breasts and groins, but we wear when we are sweating and have increased heart rates and blood circulation which may increase the risk of exposure. This article has some great tips to reduce exposure risk and help you stay alert.

Thinx Period Underwear Settlement - If you use period underwear you may have heard about the lawsuit filed against Thinx. If not, here is a great article detailing what happened and where the case is going from here.

Podcasts are such a great way to consume information on-the-go. When I ask gals in their 20’s and 30’s where they get their information, 90% of people say podcasts. We’re all super busy and doing a bunch of things at once. Podcasts are so easy because they can be listened to on your run or walk, your commute, while cleaning the house or on a road trip!
